Quantity & Quality of Paint

How much paint?

· Measure the room (s) you’ll be painting,
rounding up to the nearest foot. You
want to get slightly more than you need
to ensure you’ll have enough (if coverage
rate is not exact) – and that you’ll have
some left over for touch up. For wall
paints – and especially custom colors,
never change gallons in the middle of a
wall – always at the corners or edges.

For help with calculating, go to our
  PQI Calculator

· For trim, decide on the number of door surfaces you’ll
be painting (count two if you’re painting both sides).
Measure the height and length of all molding, then fill
  in to our Trim Calculator.
