Dome Room Doors
The pine doors at Thomas Jefferson's home, Monticello, were
originally faux-finished with paint to look like fancy burl,
inlay and mahogany crotch wood. This process, called "graining",
was replicated for the Dome Room doors using oil-based paints
and a protective coat of oil varnish.
